UMOJA Fest
Free food, drinks, music, henna and games/activities all representing various cultures.
UMOJA Fest is a cross-cultural collaboration at its finest, the term Umoja translates to unity in Swahili. It includes organizations such as African Students Association, Native American Students Association, Michigan Latino Assembly and the Black Student Union. It’s a festival-like event that will include food, drinks, music, dancing, henna artists and games from all of the cultures represented. This aids in our goals of increasing students of color visibility and building intercultural relationships. This year the UMOJA Fest will be occurring on Monday, September 2nd on the Diag from 2:00pm-5:00pm.
