In this talk, we present a bijective proof that the sum of squares of the number of standard Young tableaux over all partitions of n yields n!- a fact motivating some results in the representation theory of Sn, the symmetric group on a set of size n. All of the relevant background will be introduced. No prior familiarity with Young tableaux or representation theory will be assumed.
