The Center for EmPowering Communities is excited to sponsor a new, student-led event for UM Climate Week 2025. Clean Power, Hard Choices, an immersive simulation that seeks to explore the tensions between economic development and a just energy transition.
Step into roles such as policymaker, developer, landowner, power provider, and more to negotiate the future of clean energy for a new AI data center in Michigan. This immersive simulation challenges you to build consensus, make tough decisions, and consider the technology, policy and economics at play in the energy transition.
Logistics:
When: Wednesday, October 1, 2025 6-8 PM
Where: Ross School of Business Room R0240 (take stairs to floor below Starbucks)
Why: Learn and collaborate over free Joe’s Pizza!
