2025 Annual APHL Public Health Laboratory Ambassador Program Overview

In this annual training for Public Health Laboratory Ambassadors, APHL Academic Partnerships program staff will offer program updates, highlight any programmatic changes and provide detailed explanations on various aspects of the program. Ambassadors from three different public health laboratories will share their outreach project accomplishments and initiatives. A dedicated Q&A segment will be included where participants will be able to have their questions answered by current Public HealthLaboratory Ambassadors and APHL Academic Partnerships program staff. AUDIENCEAll current Public Health Laboratory Ambassadors and those who are interested in learning more about the program’s offerings and potentially joining.  OBJECTIVESAfter completing this webinar, the participant will be able to:
Describe the APHL Public Health Laboratory Ambassador program, including the submission process for activity requests,program benefits and any changes to the program from the previous year
Discuss different types of outreach activities conducted by ambassadors across the country, including outreach involving current fellows
Identify opportunities for outreach engagement in local communities to increase awareness of career paths in public health laboratories
