
Join us for a talk with Nick Baumgardner, author of the new book The Program: Michigan, a Curated History, which gives readers an insider’s take on the story of U-M football.
In this event, Baumgardner will discuss the events that helped shape Wolverines football as we know it and the people who pushed it forward – Harry Kipke and platoon football, Dan Dierdorf and Michigan’s offensive line prowess, quarterbacks, coaches, and Heisman winners.
Additionally, Archivist for Athletics jay winkler will show archival materials directly related to the events discussed. Attendees will view Yost’s contract, Michigan Stadium bonds, and documents created by Michigan football coaches and administrators that show their contributions to Michigan’s legacy. There will also be historical photographs, programs, posters, and more.
