From Pity to Partnership: A Disability Justice Conversation with Reverend Sarah Mayer-Flatt
Rev. Sarah Mayer-Flatt is a pastor in the Southeast Michigan Synod, ELCA and currently serves as the Synod Storyteller, a role in which she shares stories in the Take A Seat column. Pastor Sarah has served congregations in Michigan and Nebraska, has worked for the tAble, a ministry of the ELCA that brings together youth who have a shared experience of living with a disability, and is on the Advisory Board for Curious Christian Children. She is a full-time wheelchair user and loves to teach people all about disability justice through her own experiences.
Pastor Sarah will lead us in a conversation on Saturday, November 15 at 6pm in Lounge 1 at the Trotter Multicultural Center. Dinner will be provided (Jerusalem Garden), and you can RSVP here. All are welcome!
