Meeting location and time: Participants may choose to board the bus from either Central Campus or North Campus at one of the locations designated below. Upon our return, participants may choose to be dropped off at Central or North Campus locations.
Pick-up Location Meeting Time
Central Campus: outside the International Center (603 East Madison Street) 9:00am
North Campus: outside the Pierpont Commons (2101 Bonisteel) main entrance (off the circle driveway) facing Murfin Avenue 9:20am
Please Note: The bus will depart the North Campus location at 9:30am for IKEA.
Event Description: Join us for a day of shopping at one of the most popular stores around. IKEA is filled with thousands of items for kitchen, living or bed rooms, and more. The store covers 311,000 square feet of home furnishings.
There is a Restaurant where you can purchase lunch. Ikea will take your entire food bill off your home furnishing purchase (called “Eat for Free” deal) if you spend $150 or more. Show your UMID at the Restaurant in order to receive a coupon for the deal. When you are done with shopping for the day, at the check-out line on the first floor, give the coupon to the cashier and they will take the food bill off at that point.
The bus will leave Ikea at 1pm promptly to return to campus. You can store small or medium size items you buy in the baggage compartment of the bus for the trip back to Ann Arbor. Please remember that you will have to transport anything you buy home from our pick up locations so try to limit your items and be aware of the size of the things you buy to leave space for others. If you are interested in purchasing larger items, IKEA delivery is available for a fee ($59).
