Join the U-M community for the 2026 Out of the Darkness Campus Walk, a powerful event supporting suicide prevention and mental health awareness. This annual walk is part of a national movement led by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), which funds lifesaving research, provides education and advocacy, and supports survivors of loss. By participating, our campus helps create a culture of hope, connection, and visibility for those affected by suicide.
The walk will take place on April 12, 2026, at Ferry Field, with check-in at 12:00 PM and the walk beginning at 2:00 PM. Students, faculty, staff, and community members are invited to walk, volunteer, donate, or sponsor the event as we come together to bring hope and save lives.
