Personal Statements for Pre-Health
One of the biggest hurdles for many in the grad school application process is the Personal Statement. This workshop will support you in the writing process. The Personal Statement requires a different form and serves a different function than other forms of professional and academic writing. Furthermore, the American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS) and the Associated American Dental Schools Application Service (AADSAS) provide limited directions and guidance for personal statement writing for students applying to Medical or Dental programs.
Together, with a Hub coach and your peers, we will work together to establish what makes a powerful and effective personal statement for Medical School, Dental School, and other Pre-Health programs at an ideal time ahead of summer deadlines.

You should attend this workshop if you are:
A liberal arts and/or sciences (LSA) student pursuing pre-health graduate programs
Interested in learning more about the possibility (and realities) of grad school
Deciding if advanced study is a step you want to take
Curious about what writing a Personal Statement entails (i.e what even is it?)
Looking for some guidance for assessing if your Personal Statement is aligned with your interests and goals
