Class meets every other Tuesday, 9/17 - 11/26. All book lovers are welcome. Join this instructor-led but discussion-oriented, bi-weekly course to discuss and opine on ONE book pulled from various genres. Take a 3D tour of the book, including a study of its author, theme, plot, context, characterizations, symbols, motifs and writing styles. You are NOT required or expected to have read the book in advance. Participants may suggest their favorite books too. Each class will feature a different book. Classics, contemporary literary fiction, historical fiction, mysteries and thrillers--all nature of fiction and non-fiction books will be considered. The first three books will be (1) "Peace Like a River" by Leif Enger (2) "Light in August" by William Faulkner (3) "The Eerie Silence" by Paul Davies. Deb Mukherjee will lead the class.
