Transfer students, wondering about your career pathway and how to get to where you’re aiming for?
Join us on March 27th 2:30 – 3:15pm to hear from UM transfer alums about their time on campus and how their career paths got them to where they are today. This exciting panel of LSA transfer alums allows students to hear about their UM pathways into finance, tech, cosmetics, research, and engineering. A portion of the panel will also offer students the opportunity to ask questions and connect.
By attending this transfer alum panel, students can expect to:
Hear from 5 diverse UM transfer alums about their career journeys and advice
Learn more about different LSA transfer career pathways
Learn how to get to transfer career milestones

Rebecca Kaufman
Associate Director, Commodities and Fixed Income Tradables
Rebecca Kaufman is Associate Director, Commodities and Fixed Income Tradables at S&P Dow Jones Indices (S&P DJI). Based in New York, she is responsible for the product management of S&P DJI's global commodity indices, including the S&P GSCI.
Previously, Rebecca worked within S&P DJI's custom index production team. Before joining S&P DJI, Rebecca worked as a Credit Analyst at Moody's, with a focus on consumer asset-backed securities. Prior to that, Rebecca worked at The Brattle Group as an economic consultant, with a focus on antitrust litigation.
Rebecca holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Michigan.
Armin Moaddel
Revenue Operations and GTM leader, Nextech Systems

Grant Mullins
Research Engagement Student Coordinator, UM Michigan Research and Discovery Scholars (MRADS)
Grant Mullins is the Research Engagement Student Coordinator for the Michigan Research and Discovery Scholars (MRADS), where he assists undergraduate researchers in co-creating their academic journeys. He transferred from Washtenaw Community College to the University of Michigan in Fall 2021. He graduated in April 2023 with a B.A. in History. Grant was an active member of the College of LSA’s Honors Program at U-M. Through the LSA Honors Program, he spent a summer in a fellowship position, led thesis writing workshops throughout the Fall 2022 and Winter 2023 academic terms, and completed an honors thesis in the field of U.S. History. Grant aspires to hold a lifelong career in higher education. One of his more ambitious goals is to earn a Ph.D. in history. Whether as a professor, advisor, or administrator, he aspires to use this advanced degree to help students think more deeply about the presence of the past and to achieve their educational goals.
Chi To (Toby) Shiu
IT PMO Leader, Mary Kay
Chi To (Toby) Shiu, PMP is an IT and PMO leader with deep experience in enterprise transformation, IT program delivery, and portfolio management. He currently serves as an IT PMO Leader at Mary Kay Inc., where he is establishing the Global IT Portfolio Performance Office and advancing agile, outcome‑driven delivery across global teams. Toby has led large‑scale Salesforce.com and cloud initiatives across Asia Pacific, Europe, and the United States.
A proud University of Michigan alumnus, Toby holds degrees in Computer Science and Computer Engineering, along with a master’s degree in Engineering Management. He is passionate about mentoring students and early‑career professionals on navigating global careers, leadership growth, and delivering impact at scale.
Aidan Sova
Regional Product Lead, Google
Aidan Sova is a Regional Product Lead at Google. Aidan is also a Trustee and President of the Ann Arbor District Library, making him the youngest-ever Black person elected to any office in city history. He is a candidate for Ann Arbor City Council in the Fourth Ward. Currently, he also is an Emerging Leaders Council Member for the Legal Services Corporation.
Previously, he led the Big Ten Student Government Association as Executive Director and served as a Human Rights Commissioner for the City of Ann Arbor. Aidan also contributed to the State of Michigan’s Coronavirus Task Force on Racial Disparities and the Growing Michigan Together Council work group on infrastructure.
Aidan is a recipient of the State of Michigan’s Youth Volunteer of the Year Award and the University of Michigan’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Service Award. He is a first-generation graduate of the University of Michigan (2021) and University of Pennsylvania (2024).
