Dr. Hurn is this program year’s invited speaker from the U-M Ann Arbor campus deans. Dean Hurn joined the university in 2016. She came from the University of Texas System where she was vice chancellor for research and innovation and executive officer. Her research interests are brain injury, stroke in women, and interdisciplinary biomedical research and innovation. Her leadership work focuses on collaborative bio-health research models, science education innovation and research technologies. During her presentation today, Dean Hurn will discuss research, education, and practice innovations in the nursing profession, emphasizing achievements of the U-M School of Nursing.
