Paradoxically, the glass box in Russian courts became one of the last places for free speech. People persecuted for their political views used this opportunity to bear witness to injustice. Anna Narinskaya explores this phenomenon and her work as dramaturg for the play ‘The Last Word,’ based on these final statements.

About Anna Narinskaya
Anna is a journalist, playwright, and activist from Moscow, who since 2022 has been living in Berlin, publishing in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, and collaborating with German theaters. She is at the University of Michigan as a fellow of Frankel Institute for Advanced Judaic Studies.
