The Parkington Sisters of Cape Cod, Massachusetts have musical backgrounds ranging from eclectic rock to classical music. Rose, Nora, Sarah, and Ariel Parkington, all multi-instrumentalists, were raised in a wildly musical household where every room carried a spark of song, and when they came together in 2005 they realized they had been a band from the beginning. Their classical training is evident in the cello, violin, and viola that share the stage with guitar and piano; their passion for songwriting comes through in the originals created by each of the four sisters. Their enthusiasm for performing and for each other is something that's making waves all over the folk and acoustic music community. They have a magnetic stage presence and can feel at home in front of a rock crowd at the House of Blues but just as easily adapt to the sophistication of a symphony hall.
