Xin Chào Việt Nam 2026 – Ticket to Childhood is inspired by the beloved Vietnamese book Cho tôi một vé đi tuổi thơ and invites audiences to rediscover the joy, imagination, and cultural values rooted in childhood. The event centers on the universal idea that we were all once children, using nostalgia as a bridge to foster empathy, belonging, and cross-cultural understanding. For the Vietnamese community, being far from home, the program offers a comforting reminder of familiar traditions, while international guests gain a meaningful window into everyday life growing up in Vietnam. The showcase begins with a cultural presentation exploring the environments, values, and experiences that shape Vietnamese childhood. This is followed by an original dance performance set to traditional music, choreographed and performed by student members to preserve authenticity and community voice. Attendees will be invited to join a traditional Vietnamese bamboo dance, a lively folk activity many Vietnamese children grow up watching or trying at festivals, school events, and community gatherings. The final segment features an interactive workshop highlighting classic Vietnamese childhood games, creating space for laughter, learning, and shared experience.
