Exploring the US at 250; Conversations with Student Curators
Please join the William L. Clements Library and U.S.@250 for a student panel and reception, hosted in the historic Avenir Foundation Reading Room. Student curators will discuss their experiences in creating a public-facing exhibit documenting various ways that people have celebrated the Fourth of July throughout history. From navigating the complexities of memorializing national holidays to the logistics of creating an exhibit, the students and Dr. Scott Larson will consider the opportunities that the 250th anniversary of the Revolution provides for projects like this one.

After the panel, a reception will be hosted in the beautiful and historic Avenir Foundation Reading Room. The current exhibit, “Revolutionary Paine,” will be available for viewing.
