But he's an artist of international repute as well, with a rabid American fan base that fills houses wherever he goes, and collaborations with country star Kathy Mattea (and even Jennifer Lopez) to his credit. A performer with a gift for making something universal of his own experiences and of the sheer beauty of his native land, Dougie MacLean has been called "Scotland's greatest living songwriter" by Celtic World.
