You are invited to attend the chartering ceremony of the University of Michigan unit of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary University Program (AUP), marking the official establishment of the unit. The AUP curriculum is designed to cultivate students’ professional, operational, and leadership skills for careers in public service, with particular emphasis on service in the Auxiliary, commissioning into active duty or reserve service, and maritime professions.
 
Important parking instructions for non-UM visitors:
Allow extra time for parking. Metered street parking is available along East Washington Street directly in front of the building. However, parking can be difficult. If all metered street parking is full, the closest public parking lot is the City of Ann Arbor Maynard Parking Structure, four blocks away at 324 Maynard St., Ann Arbor, MI 48109 (Directions). The height restriction on this garage is 6’8” – some SUVs and pickups with roof racks will not fit in this garage.
