School of Dentistry/Community Dental Center 5K run/1.5 mile walk
A runner who participated in the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta will lead a U-M School of Dentistry/Community Dental Center 5K run/1.5mile walk on Saturday, Sept. 28, at Island Park.
Check in begins at 9:00 a.m. for the 10:00 a.m. start. Registration is $25.
Paul McMullen, of Cadillac, Michigan, will lead the event. A middle distance runner who specialized in the 1,500 meters, McMullen won two consecutive U.S. titles in the event to become the first Olympian from Cadillac.
All proceeds from the run/walk will go to the Ann Arbor Community Dental Center, 406 N. Ashley Street, that treats low income families, senior citizens, young adults and the homeless.
