The University of Michigan Dance Company presents a broad spectrum of contemporary dance practices performed by students in the Department of Dance. This all-ages concert will feature the work of four choreographers: Professor Shannon Gillen, founder and artistic director of dance company VIM VIGOR; Professor Amy West, whose dance work Rock ’n Roll Ballet will feature an original score by Professor Erik Santos and Jason Magee; guest artist Kim Jones, whose Adorations Reimagined will reimagine the 1975 work by Martha Graham; and guest artist Kia Smith, artistic director of South Chicago Dance Theatre.
