Breast cancer is the third leading cause of death for women in the U.S. The good news is that breast cancer is a disease that can be treated and cured.

Thus why Catherine and Nate Forbes, the Forbes Company, and the Somerset Collection are proud to partner with Dr. Ora Hirsch Pescovitz and the University of Michigan Health System to support Breast Cancer Research at the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center on Friday, October 18th @ 6:00pm.

Join your fellow Wolverines, Detroiters, and many supporters as they gather at Cadillac Square in Downtown Detroit for a chic tailgate experience with savory foods and beverages from famous Michigan purveyors from Detroit and Ann Arbor. Watch your favorite Wolverines rock the runway to music by the University of Michigan Alumni Band. The night will end in style as the Contours with Joe Billingslea and the Original Vandellas remind us why the great city of Detroit is known as Motown.

Help us kick off the event October 1 at Somerset Mall in Troy Michigan. The Somerset Collection’s North Grand Court will be draped with pink fabric to frame a runway with 25 exquisite pink, maize, and blue fashion items for a month-long silent auction that will also benefit U-M’s Breast Cancer Research. A docent will be available to accept bids throughout October.
