Much Ado About Nothing
Department of Musical Theatre Studio Production
Department of Musical Theatre students demonstrate their acting skills in this non-musical studio production of the play Much Ado About Nothing, one of William Shakespeare’s most beloved and oft-performed comedies. When the soldiers of Don Pedro’s army return to Messina, Italy, romance is not far behind for young lovers Claudio and Hero. With the arrival of Don Pedro’s brother Don John, however, comes a plot that threatens to ruin their romance before it has a chance to really begin. Intertwined with this plot is the witty banter of Benedick and Beatrice, who are drawn to and repulsed by each other in equal measure.
