Calling all LSA community members! Does your department have e-waste around the office that you are looking to dispose of responsibly? This event is for you! On August 12th from 9AM to 2PM, outside on the LSA Patio, you can bring your U-M e-waste to us for proper disposal. Items brought to this event should no longer be working; if items are working, please contact your building manager to have them taken to Property Disposition.
Please carefully read the statements below to know what we are NOT accepting at this event. We will NOT accept:
Personal e-waste.
Any e-waste with an asset tag (items typically over $5k).
E-waste that has come in contact with hazardous waste.
E-waste that you cannot reasonably carry (think things larger than a microwave).
Items that are new or still working.
What e-waste are we accepting? The types of items we are accepting include no longer working computer accessories (mice, keyboards, speakers, etc.), microwaves, telephones, remote controls, power cords, etc. If items are larger than the ones mentioned or are in good working condition, please reach out to your building manager for proper disposal or consider donating lab items to the Lab Swap Shop.
