Assistive Technology for Everyone
This workshop will explore assistive technology as a powerful set of tools that can improve access and independence for people with disabilities while also supporting users in a wide range of everyday contexts. The session will include demonstrations of built-in accessibility features on smartphones and computers that support vision, hearing, mobility, dexterity, cognition, and attention.
We will also discuss how to choose assistive technology tools based on individual needs and goals, and share where to find helpful U-M and external resources. This session is designed to help participants better understand how accessibility features can create more flexible, inclusive, and effective digital experiences for everyone.
American Sign Language (ASL) interpreting services and Communication Access Realtime Translation (CART) captioning services will be provided. If you need additional accommodations to participate in this webinar, please email the ADA Coordinator at [email protected].
