Environmental Justice through the Arts
Join U-M Faculty as they share about current research projects at the intersection of the arts and environmental justice, with a specific focus on “Sustainable Stages,” a collaborative effort among U-M Theatre, the Center for Sustainable Systems and the Detroit Opera, which has been funded by the Graham Sustainability Institute and the Arts Research: Incubation and Acceleration (ARIA) program, a joint program of the U-M Arts Initiative and the Office of the Vice President of Research.
Attendees will also learn about future funding opportunities at the intersection of the arts and environment, including ARIA, the Graham Institute’s Catalyst program and the newly formed UM/Detroit Opera Faculty Research Advisory Group.
This event is part of both U-M Climate Week and the Michigan Arts Festival.
