This Halloween, Robin's Goodfellows, the new and only student theatre company dedicated exclusively to staging and reinterpreting the works of William Shakespeare, is proud to present its debut production: KING LEAR. Adapted from an old myth, the Tragedy of King Lear follows an aging, tyrannical king who chooses to divide his kingdom to give to his three daughters. The struggle between them descends into a horrifying and twisted story of betrayal, murder, war, and insanity. Brilliantly reimagined for the modern day, the darkest of Shakespeare's tragedies dealing with tyranny, aging, cruelty, death, and cosmic justice returns to terrify and astound a modern audience.
