This session is designed for new incoming students, as well as anyone who has been unable to attend previous meetings. It will provide a comprehensive introduction to the club and a review of key concepts covered to date.

Topics will include:

University of Michigan AI resources — an overview of available institutional resources and how to access them
Staying current — strategies for keeping pace with a rapidly evolving AI landscape
Key tools and concepts — a review of the most high-yield tools and concepts covered over the summer, and guidance on when to apply each, including effective literature searches and AI tools for coding
AI anxiety — a candid discussion of a real and common experience among students and researchers
Students as leaders in the AI revolution — exploring the role students can play in shaping how AI is used in research and education

All are welcome, regardless of prior experience with AI tools.
