The Faculty Senate Office invites you to meet the 2026 candidates for the U-M Board of Regents. Candidates will present their qualifications, articulate their vision for the University, and respond to questions. The election of members to the Board of Regents significantly impacts the governance of the University. The Regent Candidate Forum promotes civic engagement, informed decision-making, and transparency, and encourages elected Regents to be representative of and responsive to the needs of the community they serve.

Format
Each candidate will be permitted an opening statement. Professor Toyama will then ask questions submitted in advance by members of the Faculty Senate’s Senate Assembly and standing Senate Assembly committees.
