On Friday, October 2, 2026, the Institute for the Humanities is sponsoring a free chartered bus trip and guided tour of the Dabls MBAD African Bead Museum in Detroit. Founder and artist Olayami Dabls will lead an exclusive tour of the museum, outdoor campus installations, and a nearby community mural at Grand River and West Warren Avenue. The visit offers students an engaging experience with African diasporic art, history, storytelling, and public art. The bus will leave 202 S. Thayer St. at 9 AM and return at 1 PM.
