The Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra, in partnership with U-M CHHASSEM, SMTD, and University Health & Counseling (UHC) is hosting a special presentation at Rackham Auditorium on Friday, October 2, at 5:30 p.m.

CHHASSEM's co-director of Medicine and Arts Assistant Professor Daniel Whibley will lead a conversation with Vijay Gupta, author, classical violinist, mental health advocate, and founder of the Street Symphony, inspired in part by the recent publication of Gupta's memoir "Restrung."

Daniel and Vijay will be joined in conversation by Dr. Lindsey Mortenson, Executive Director of University Health and Counseling and the co-director of Michigan's Institute for Social Prescribing, and Jen Erb-Downward, MPH, Director of Housing Stability Programs and Policy Initiatives at Poverty Solutions.

Note that Gupta will also speak at the Penny Stamps Talk Series on Thursday at the Michigan Theater at 5:30.
