Music, Medicine, and Mattering: A Fireside Chat with Vijay Gupta
Vijay Gupta, violinist and Street Symphony founder, with Lindsey Mortenson and Daniel Whibley.
CHHASSEM's co-director of Medicine and Art Professor Daniel Whibley leads a conversation with Vijay Gupta, author, classical violinist, mental health advocate, and founder of the Street Symphony. Inspired in part by the recent publication of Gupta's memoir Restrung. Daniel and Vijay will be joined in conversation by Dr. Lindsey Mortenson, Executive Director of University Health and Counseling and the co-director of Michigan's Institute for Social Prescribing. Other panelists may be added. The event is free and open to the public. This event is co-presented with the Ann Arbor Symphony and the School of Music, Theatre & Dance. Note that Gupta will also speak at the Penny Stamps Talk Series on Thursday at the Michigan Theater at 5:30.
