The University Career Center is excited to host representatives from the Gregory S. Fehribach Center, which supports students with physical disabilities, including mobility, visual, hearing, and orthopedic disabilities. Gregory S. Fehribach Center in Indianapolis exists to promote economic independence and equitable employment for college students throughout the Midwest with physical disabilities (mobility, visual, hearing, & orthopedic).  The foundation of the Fehribach Center is an internship program that connects students with employers in the Indianapolis area for paid internships in fields related to their academic majors and career interests.  To this point, 305 students have participated in 612 internships.  These students have come from 49 different colleges and have interned at 61 employers, including Eskenazi Health, Eli Lilly, Cummins, Republic Airways, the Indiana Pacers, and Christel House International.  In addition to the internship, housing and transportation assistance is provided as needed, along with impactful professional development opportunities throughout the summer. The Fehribach Center’s most recent annual report gives much more information about its work.  The attached flyer can be shared with students and provides details about internships and the process to apply.  Please email Fehribach Center staff members Larry Markle or Carlos Taylor with questions you may have about the Fehribach Center.
