In Europe from the 15th century into the 17th there was great activity by architects and geometers creating usually centrally-oriented city designs to meet real or imagined requirements. The development and realization of these cities will be described and illustrated in this course. Kingsbury Marzolf is a professor emeritus of architectural and urban history at the U of M.
