The Latin American & Caribbean Studies (LACS) RIW is an interdisciplinary space to explore the history, culture, politics, and arts of Latin America and the Caribbean. This RIW invites dialogue among students working on a wide range of sub-regions, times, and topics, many from distinct methodological perspectives. Our goal is to bring seemingly disparate interests together in an intellectually productive space that deepens participants' understanding of this expansive region. This RIW hopes to serve as the academic node that connects seemingly disparate scholars of Latin America into one productive space. Through our events and meetings, graduate students and faculty will be able to more effectively expand their interdisciplinary understanding, create connections across the university, and support each other in their academic journey.
