Both in Shiawassee County and here in Ann Arbor, Cook Scholars are committed to caring for our environments. Join the cohort in participating during this campus-wide week of opportunities where Cook Scholars can get together to learn and care for our planet and our spaces within it. The event is organized by the U-M Sustainable Food Program and Campus Farm, with music, games, food, and farm tours. It’s really an amazing place! Busses run from CCTC every 20mins, starting at 12:40pm.
Recommended: Attend a Climate Cafe | Varying times (see website link)
Climate cafés are welcoming space where fears and uncertainties about our climate and ecological crises can be safely expressed. Together, we create a space where participants are encouraged to pause, connect, and talk about their experiences with the environment and climate change. We aim to provide uninterrupted discussion time and ensure that everyone has a chance to speak and be heard. There are in-person spaces for 20.
Recommended: Join in the "Ann Arbor Tri-Campus Day of Service" | Th, 10/1, 2-6PM (event times vary)
Project options and times are listed on the registration page. Locations include Fuller Park, the Arb, Pierpont Commons, and the Diag. Pick from one of several opportunities running concurrently during this time block. Committing to care for our environment.
Option: Attend the Bird Collision Inventory and Seed Library Project
w/ Jeri, Th, 10/1, 3-4:30PM, at Pierpont Commons.
Attend one or both sections.
Info Session: 3-3:30PM | Seed Inventory: 3:30-4:30PM
