Philippine Culture Night: Salinlahi
Presented by The Filipino American Student Association
Mabuhay! The Filipino American Student Association (FASA) proudly presents Philippine Culture Night (PCN) 2026: “Salinlahi” on Saturday, November 14th, 2026, from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM at the Power Center!
PCN is an event dedicated to showcasing Filipino and Filipino-American culture through music, dance, skits, and so much more. This year’s theme, “Salinlahi,” meaning generation, explores the beauty and power of Filipino storytelling and the many ways it has evolved and been preserved across generations.
To be Filipino is to be part of an enduring, living narrative. As Filipinos and Filipino-Americans, we often explore our cultural identity through the stories passed down to us by family, community, and tradition. This year's PCN seeks to honor Filipino storytelling, from cultural dances to modern films and music. These stories are more than just memories of the past; they are the means by which generations of Filipinos have preserved culture, built community, and shared what it means to be Filipino. Rooted in native traditions and drawing from foreign influences, Filipino culture tells stories that reflect a history of adaptation and reclamation, transforming the joys and hardships of the Filipino experience into powerful expressions of Filipino identity and agency. Through the performances in this year's show, we hope to explore these stories across time, deepen our understanding of the diverse narratives that make up Filipino culture, and commemorate the voices that continue to carry them forward. Join us in celebrating these stories and the communities that keep them alive!
“Salinlahi” features six FASA performances: Maglalatik, Bulaklakan, Folk Tinikling, Choir, Anyo, and Modern Tinikling. We are also excited to welcome guest performances by Greenwood, PACE-MI, MiMSA, BukoBop, and KIDLAT!
We hope to see you there! Maraming salamat!
