Internality.org, a nonprofit founded by Fred Keller of Cascade Engineering and Stuart Hart, needed more than a chatbot. Over the past year, we built a full AI system: a language model fine-tuned in Fred's voice, research tools grounded in a curated library, a private member community, and the infrastructure underneath it all. This session walks through that build as a case study in working with AI tools: how we scoped each piece, where model training fit and where it didn't, how we handled security and access for real users, and what it takes to deploy, monitor, and evaluate AI systems once people depend on them. Students will leave with a practical playbook for their own Clinic projects.
