Affectionately known as BARK, Blackie and the Rodeo Kings are a Canadian roots supergroup. Colin Linden, Stephen Fearing, and Tom Wilson got together in 1996 after discovering their common enthusiasm for the music of the late Canadian songwriter and Fred Eaglesmith band wildman Willie P. Bennett. You may remember that Blackie & the Rodeo Kings and their amazing Western wear were featured on Ann Arbor Folk Festival bill a few years back, but it's been a while since we've heard their always eventful live show in full. Blackie and the Rodeo Kings have recently released a new album, "South," which is mostly acoustic and was recorded quickly and without overdubs at Colin Linden's home in Nashville.
