Engaged and Digital Education final Town Hall
Dear Campus Community,
As many of you know, my office hosted three town halls on Engaged and Digital Education in October. Due to the success of those meetings, we will host a final town hall open to faculty, staff and students on Friday, November 22, 2:00 - 3:30 pm in the Founders Room of the Alumni Center.
Following the town hall discussions, we will create several task-teams to provide further thinking on this transformation in education. These activities will complement other initiatives that will be ongoing this academic year, under the auspices of the Vice Provost for Global and Engaged Education and the Vice Provost for Digital Educational Initiatives.
Your input will serve as an important part of campus-wide planning to ensure that UM is on course to provide a learning environment that is founded on the richest possible use of high-touch, highly social, engaged educational experiences combined with the best use of digital education technologies, to optimize the learning experience for all students, with both excellence and cost-efficiency in mind.
I hope you will attend and share your experiences and ideas about engaged educational experiences and about digital instructional technologies.
Please RSVP by email at Town.Hall@umich.edu by November 18.
Sincerely,
Martha E. Pollack
Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs
