The Ark and Grand Circus Media are co-sponsoring the Gardenia Bluegrass & Roots Festival at the Royal Oak Farmers' Market, 316 E. 11 Mile Rd., Royal Oak, on Friday, April 11. Doors at 7:30; VIP tickets include admission at 6:30. The bill features a great selection of cutting-edge roots and jam bands! This year's guests include Keller & The Keels (with bluegrass guitarist extraordinaire Larry Keel); Ann Arbor's richly positive world music-flavored band The Ragbirds; Catfish Mafia, with bluegrass filtered through Detroit Americana, and the fast-rising Crane Wives from Grand Rapids.

The Royal Oak Farmers' Market is located at 316 E. 11 Mile, Royal Oak. It is an indoor, heated venue. Cash-only bar available; the show is open to all ages.
