Healthy Holidays, Healthy Stuff Open House
The U-M Community is invited to a "Healthy Holidays, Healthy Stuff" open house on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at the Hatcher Graduate Library. Sponsored by Planet Blue Ambassadors, with support from MHealthy and Ann Arbor's Ecology Center, this special event is dedicated to helping you have a sustainable and safter holiday season.
At this unique open house, you will learn how to avoid common toxics found in everyday products, see examples of products on the market today which have tested well and others which have tested poorly for toxic substances, and have the opportunity to bring an item from home to be tested for toxic heavy metals, including lead, cadmium and arsenic. Suggestions include decorations, pet toys, small household items, children's products, you name it!
Healthy, sustainable food samples and recipes will be available, in addition to a light lunch.
Drop by anytime between Noon and 1:30pm. There will be a presentation from 12:30 to 1 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public. PLEASE VISIT THE LINK BELOW TO RSVP: http://graham.umich.edu/events/healthy-holidays-healthy-stuff-open-house
