Harmful Algae Bloom: When Blooms Go Bad
Algae blooms are found in bodies of water throughout the Great Lakes. Harmful algae blooms have increased in frequency since the 1990s. Sonia Joseph Joshi, NOAA Great Lakes Outreach Coordinator, will discuss how certain types of algal blooms may pose a risk to humans, animals, and water quality.
