OLLI at U-M (50+)
Speaker: Charles Ballard, Ph.D. MSU.
Michigan’s manufacturing-based economy in the mid-20th century was the envy of the world. However, currently Michigan’s citizen skill level lags behind that which is needed for manufacturing excellence. Professor Ballard will present strategies for improving our economy by improving the skills of our citizens. Dr. Ballard has been on the Economics faculty at MSU since 1983, and in 2007, he became Director of the State of the State Survey in MSU’s Institute for Public Policy and Social Research.
