This continuing program will examine how films depict the personal and political lives of presidents, from George Washington to Dwight Eisenhower, and it will emphasize how the passage of time has affected our perspectives of them. A recommended text is "To The Best Of My Ability: The American Presidents" by James M. McPherson. Presidential and history enthusiasts as well as novices are equally welcome. Dr. Adelman is an Emeritus Professor of Biological Chemistry and a Past Director of the Institute of Gerontology.
