Richard Thompson w/sg Teddy Thompson
The recipient of BBC's Lifetime Achievement Award, The Americana Music Association’s Lifetime Achievement in Songwriting Award, and named by Rolling Stone Magazine as one of the Top 20 Guitarists of all time, Richard Thompson is also one of the world's most celebrated songwriters. Robert Plant, REM, Elvis Costello, Los Lobos, David Byrne, Del McCoury, Bonnie Raitt and many others have recorded his work. Thompson continues to astound both as a guitar player and performer as NPR Music says “[Thompson is] a folksinger who doesn’t sound out of place shredding like an arena-rock star”¦and still writes songs that sting and storm” with Rolling Stone adding “”¦the excellence is undeniable.” Thompson was nominated for “Artist of the Year” at the 2013 Americana Music Awards and received critical acclaim for his latest album Electric, which was produced by esteemed musician/producer Buddy Miller. He will perform solo acoustic with his son Teddy as a special guest.
