Shape-Shifting Molecules in Biology and Technology

The experimental and theoretical tools needed to improve the shaping of polymeric materials into useful products are increasingly being used to understand how similar operations are successfully accomplished in organisms or cells. This is exemplified by examples of fiber drawing, protein target searching on DNA, and swimming of flagellated bacteria.
