Maternal Mortality, Violence Against Women and FGM

Talk by Timothy Johnson, M.D. as part of the Forum of Gender, Sexual and Reproductive Health: A Global Perspective

Women face crisis in many parts of the world with problems that include an increasing burden of HIV/AIDS, violence, genocidal rape and refugee status. Topics to be highlighted include maternal mortality, female genital mutilation and fistula, and a general topology of the major global forces menacing women will be proposed.
