Global Water-Resources Issues Versus Energy Choices
OLLI at U-M (50+)
Speaker: Tim Steele, International Water-resources and Environmental Services Consultant.
The beneficial uses of the world’s water-resources are impacted by balancing available supplies with present and future demands. An important aspect of this “balance” involves interrelationships with competition among these uses along with water needs or impacts for various energy technologies. Some conceptual aspects of water-energy interactions will be described, along with the need for presenting technical data and information to the general interested public (stakeholders) as well as resource-management decision-makers.
