Create your own art project inspired by the ideas of geometric pattern and color in Islamic art as seen in the exhibition Doris Duke's Shangri La: Architecture, Landscape and Islamic Art. Designed for families with children ages 6-12 to experience art together, UMMA docents will lead families on an exploration of the exhibition followed by a hands-on workshop.

This workshop is offered in partnership with the Ann Arbor Art Center. If you are unable to join us on March 22, we are running the workshop on March 15 as well.

The exhibition Doris Duke's Shangri La: Architecture, Landscape and Islamic Art was organized by The Doris Duke Foundation for Islamic Art, which is also providing generous support for its presentation at UMMA and national tour.
