Van Harrison and Bill Roberts: Patagonia - A 2000 Mile Road Trip
OLLI at U-M (50+)
Experience a three-week photo trip through Patagonia with OLLI colleagues Bill Roberts and Van Harrison. The 2,000 mile road trip (including 1,000 miles on unpaved roads) started at the southern end of the continent of South America. They traveled north through Chile, Argentina, and back into Chile. The varied geography included the Strait of Magellan, Torres del Paine (mountains), the pampas (dry steppe), glaciers, the Andes and the continental divide, temperate rain forests, volcanoes, and ocean fjords. After Patagonia, they spent a few days in central Chile: Vina del Mar, Valparaiso, and Santiago.
