Please join us for our next CBSSM seminar:
Introductory Workshop on Intervention Mapping
Fraukje Mevissen, PhD
CBSSM Visiting Scholar
Assistant Professor, Applied Psychology, Maastricht University, the Netherlands
Wednesday, February 26, 2014
3:00-4:00 pm
Location
Room 266C, Building 16
North Campus Research Complex (NCRC)
2800 Plymouth Road
Summary: Intervention Mapping (IM) is a protocol for developing effective behavior change interventions. IM is not a new theory or model; it is an additional tool, like a process management protocol, for the planning and development of health promotion interventions. It maps the path from recognition of a need or problem to the identification of a solution.
In this workshop, Dr. Mevissen will describe the IM steps based on work she did developing sexual health programs for adolescents. To get the most out of this workshop, it would be helpful if some of you could e-mail her (fmevisse@med.umich.edu) the ”˜problems’ you work on. She could then use some of these scenarios during the workshop as examples on how to analyze and explore this problem.
